Tour 5 Days in Mekong Delta

On the second day of the Mekong Delta tour, you will start your morning with breakfast at the homestay. Then, you can take a bike ride for around 1-1.5 hours from Dong Hoa to Tam Binh, where you will pass through beautiful orchards of durian, sapota, and longan. During this journey, you will also have the opportunity to meet and interact with locals before visiting the local village market. Once you return to the homestay, you can take some time to rest. Optionally, you can choose to extend your trip by taking a 1-hour walk along a trail with a local guide. You will then reach Ngu Hiep island by bike, which is famous for its fertile garden made up of alluvial deposits from the Mekong River. These excursions are truly unique experiences in an authentic and flourishing area. If you prefer not to ride a bike, you may ask our guide for a motorbike and driver instead. Travel to Long Xuyen via Sa Dec, where you can explore the Kien An Cung Pagoda and the residence of Huynh Thuy Le, which is featured in Marguerite Duras' novel "The Lover". In Sa Dec, you can also check out the vibrant local market that offers a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and fish. On the way to Long Xuyen, you can visit the Cao Dai Temple and Crocodile Farm. After your morning meal, you will be transported to the floating market and vibrant village of Long Xuyen, situated on a small branch of the Mekong Delta. Here, you can observe the day-to-day routines of the nearby inhabitants. Following this, you'll take a brief stroll or a one-hour bike ride on Cu Lao Ong Ho Island before heading towards Chau Doc. Upon arrival, you'll have the chance to explore the Chau Doc market before embarking on a boat trip to visit the floating fishing village and Cham Island village. You will have the opportunity to explore Sam Mountain, which is 287 meters tall and features many vibrant temples and pagodas such as Ba Chua Xu Temple, Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb, and Tay An Pagoda. You can either hike up to the mountaintop or take a moto-taxi to witness the mesmerizing sunset over the Vietnam-Cambodia border. Afterward, you can spend the night at a hotel in Chau Doc. On day four of your Mekong Delta itinerary, you will start your morning with breakfast at the hotel before heading over to Tra Su Reserve. This particular ecosystem is known for its incredible biodiversity and features a magnificent cajeput forest. It is also well-known as a bird park, boasting a vast array of different species. After exploring the reserve, you will travel along the border road between Vietnam and Cambodia to Ha Tien. During this journey, you will stop off at a small beach located in Kien Giang to visit Hang Pagoda and the ancient fairy rocks. These rocks are symbolic of Ha Tien and go by the name of "Phu Tu" (father and son). Unfortunately, the father's rock fell into the sea a few years ago. If there's enough time, you can make a stop at the Mac Cuu Temple, which is dedicated to an 18th-century governor of the area, and also visit Thanh Van Cave before staying overnight at your hotel in Ha Tien. After breakfast, you will return to Saigon. Along the way, you can stop to take photos if you wish. Arrival in Saigon at the end of the afternoon.
